]]>21/03/2013120686323810703a104a7e350b59d4b99c48bcacc0445b08e9f<![CDATA[Form of payment]]> Effective July 1st, 2012, all consular service requests submitted at the counter or by mail must include an U.S. Postal Service Money Order in the exact amount of the services to be rendered, payable to “Consulate General of Brazil in San Francisco”.

The Consulate will not accept any of the following forms of payment: personal or corporate check, cash, credit or debit card, or a money order that is not from the USPS.

In compliance with an order from the Federal Reserve Bank of the United States, the Consulate will only accept money orders containing the bearer's name and address, according to the sample. The field "memo" on the left must be filled with the name of the service that is being requested (visa, legalization, etc.).

The same rule will apply to services sent by mail or through visa services and expeditors.

Money orders that do not meet the new requirements will be returned with the documents that were submitted and the service will not be processed.
